Description: Vintage U.K. CHART BEAT #20 1983 with Duran Duran, Roger Taylor, Michael Jackson. 31 pages of awesome RARE vintage nostalgia from 1983! I'd say this is in "very good" condition. Was stored flat in my clean, smoke-free house for four decades! Imported from the U.K., this magazine is part of my Duran Duran collection because it includes some Duran Duran items including a picture of Roger Taylor on the back cover. There are no doubt very few of these in existence any more, at least here in the states. Includes Michael Jackson cover and is also a great overview of the awesome British invasion of the early 1980s...lotsa new wave/new romantic bands featured, including Echo and the Bunnymen, Elvis Costello, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, The Police, and a centerfold of David Sylvian. Plus, some more obscure British acts of the time. Nice snapshot of what was happening in the UK at the time...all this stuff shaped so many of our childhoods and in my case, early teen years. Would make a nice gift for someone who lived through it, or a young person who is into 1980s culture and music. I was a huge Duran Duran fan from the day they arrived on the scene, and have hundreds, if not thousands, of memorabilia items, including autographs, books, magazines, tear-sheets from teen and music magazines, buttons/pins, dozens and dozens of full-sized rare posters, records (including Japanese discs and other rare imports), clothing, and more. I will be listing it all for sale over time, but can only list when I have free time.
