Description: Vintage PRICE Bros. Hand Painted Porcelain Tea Pot & Lid, Made in England. Measurements: 4-1/2" in Height (5-1/4" with Lid) x 5-1/2" Width x 9" Length (at Spout & Handle). Six Cup capacity. Condition: Excellent. No chips, cracks or repairs. Beautiful Colors and Shine. Heavy crazing throughout, possibly intended? See photos. Maker's Mark and Dating: The bottom of the tea pot has a printed mark with the name 'PRICE BROs' inside laurels and 'MADE IN ENGLAND' below. This mark was used from 1934 until 1961, although the new company, Price & Kensington, continued to use that mark until until 1963. Company History: The Price Brothers pottery business began in 1896 operating from the Crown Works, Burslem, England. In 1903 they moved operations to to the Top Bridge Works, Longport and the Albion Works, Burslem. At that time they changed the company name to Price Bros (Burslem) Ltd. They manufactured earthenware until December 1961 when they were succeeded by Price & Kensington Potteries Ltd. in Longport.
