Description: Nice used Penn Peer 30-209F fishing reel. Understand this is a used reel. I found it in an estate sale in Michigan. I don't know it's past history, but a good guess would be it was mostly used for salmon trolling in the Great Lakes. So very likely no salt water use in her past. Seems to function as I'd expect based on previous Penn's I've purchased. It makes the iconic clicking noise when reeling, the free spool function appears to work too. I don't see an cracks or chips on the reel body. The handle is all in one piece and I don't see any cracks there either. She was pretty dusty when I got it. I've wiped it down with WD40 and it's much better now. I'd suggest is next owner may want to check the reel oil level. I'm a spinning reel guy, so adding oil to a reel seems foreign to me and to be honest I'm not sure how that happens. All that having been said, I thing this ole girl would be a nice addition to your pier fishing equipment, trolling line up or maybe with a little more polishing she could be a fine addition to your vintage fishing collection. Yep,that was a very long sentence. But you get the point.
