B.S. in Chemical Engineering at Purdue University in 1932, and MBA from Harvard Business School. Studied with renowned artist Hans Hofmann, considered to have both preceded and influenced abstract expressionism. Studied at Art Student's League with Mario Cooper, considered the dean of watercolor. Served as officer of the Wall Street Art Assn., winning honors at their periodic shows. Attended the Instituto Allende, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, painting in acrylics under famed painter in Abstract Expressionism James Pinto. Studied at the National Academy of Design in N.Y., concentrating on acrylics and watercolor.
