Rutherford NJ started racing in 1938, raced at most E Coast tracks, joined the “Pappy” Hough 5 man racing team (Little Iron Pigs) in the 40’s advanced to the 1952 Indy 500 driving the Bowe’s “Seal Fast Special” finished 5th and received the first Indy 500 “Rookie of the Year” Award. Included with this award is a copy of a Kingsbridge Armory program with Art Cross’s photo on the cover and his racing biography. During the Eastern winter months, "Pappy" Hough's team traveled to the South and raced in Texas, Phoenix and Louisiana.Being offered is this 7" diameter, 4" high Dodge trophy ashtray.
