There was a total of 31 legal tender world coins issued, all with bird themes. The dates on the encapsulated uncirculated coins ranged from the early 1970s up to 1980. Most if not all of the coins were minted by the Franklin Mint for various countries. A few are FAO issues. Some were of very low mintage and at least one, the super-rare 1980 cu-ni Bahamas flamingo $2 is thought to have been available only through Bird Coins of the World. (Most of these Bahamian coins had scarce to rare dates of 1979 or earlier but a precious few are dated 1980.) Actual Items Photographed. Please see my eBay store for similar bird coin lots.
