Stunning Vintage Rookwood Arts & Crafts Flower Vase "XXX" 1930 #1821 Dusty Rose

Description: Featured in this auction is a magnificent flower vase made by Rookwood Pottery. The vase is in excellent, near-perfect condition with no chips, no cracks, no crazing and no repairs. This piece is 6-1/4" tall, 3-1/4" wide at the shoulder, and 1-3/4" wide at the rim opening. The base of the pottery is stamped with the Rookwood Pottery flame mark, the shape number 1821 and the production year XXX (1930). The base is also stamped with Rookwood Pottery's 50th Anniversary mark. The vase features a taller ovoid shape with a geometric arts-and-crafts motif encircling the shoulder of the vase. This gorgeous glaze is a thick, matte dusty rose or pink underglaze with a green overspray that has curdled beautifully on the piece. This glaze color combination was one of the most popular that Rookwood produced in the 1920s and 1930s. There is also some very light peppering in the glaze and some tiny glaze pinholes.
