Description: This antique glass pattern glass knob with threaded shank is a rare find for collectors of early American Pattern Glass. The clear lead glass has a warm tint that adds to its fancy lace-like look. It dates to the early 1840s. The maker is likely to have been the Boston & Sandwich Glass Company, of Sandwich, Cape Cod. This is a large example and was probably intended as an Interior door knob or a built-in cabinet. These glass threaded knobs are rare survivals. 2.4” Long 2.3” Diameter (front) 1.1” Diameter (shank) .6” long (shank)
