Description: Romantic late Victorian / early Edwardian Hair holder clip: ~ Sentimental romantic Victorian swallow bird and forget me not flower motif * Swallows mate for life and always return to their nests after time away, which symbolizes ones love for their sweetheart, when given as a gift. Swallow pieces were wildly popular and often given as wedding gifts or exchanged between bride and groom in those times (Victorian and Edwardian periods) and were worn by both men and women.
