Description: A very early issue of MAD back when it was still a comic book! Although I'm not a professional grader, I'd give this a grade of Good/Very Good. PLEASE SEE THE PICTURES! The comic is intact, although the centerfold is detached and present -- and I would grade this much higher if it was attached. There is light to moderate wear and creasing to the front cover with some handwriting over the M in MAD. There is a tear in the bottom left corner with a small flap. There are stress lines and wear of the spine with light tearing near the staples. There's some aging and tanning of the pages, but the stories still pop -- and there's handwriting on the first page. The back cover has light wear and creasing. It's a sweet copy of a classic Mad and a nice addition to your collection!
