It is a darker purple that did not show up well in pictures-picture 3 is a close up and hopefully a good idea of the color Odyssey hooks have been notoriously difficult to find. The manufacturer's website had all the Odyssey hooks listed as "sold out" for the last several months, but as of a few days ago, Odyssey hooks have been removed entirely from their hook collection. There has been a known challenge for them in obtaining supplies to make these hooks, which are hand made in California, and then must pass a strict quality control process before they are available for sale. They have been discussing changing their manufacturing process, which could also include a change in the metal used in creating future hooks (currently the tips are nickel plated pewter) and limiting the number of colors available in the future Why suffer through the agony of 6 days of bidding wars only to end up outbid and hookless in the end?
