Description: For sale is this number 8 cast iron handled griddle from Favorite Stove & Range. The name Piqua Ware comes from the town where the foundry was located Piqua, Ohio. The company produced cast iron cookware from 1916 until 1934. The cooking surface is polished smooth with prominent milling marks still showing. Perfect for cooking pancakes or quesadillas. The bottom has Favorite’s smiley logo at the top and size number 8 at the bottom. It does have some pitting as you can see. Sits flat with very very small movement. Almost perfectly flat but not quite. Cleaned to bare iron using electrolysis and given a coat of oil to stop any flash rust from coming back. It is ready to use and to begin being seasoned.
