Description: Original Sixties Belgian Re-Release Movie Poster - Buck Privates (1941), Bud Abbott, Lou Costello, The Andrews Sisters, Lee Bowman, Jane Frazee, Nat Pendleton, Alan Curtis, Shemp Howard, Arthur Lubin, Service Comedy, Peacetime Draft of 1940, Basic Training, Boxing, "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy", Musical, Slapstick, Romantic Rivalry Here is an original Belgian movie poster from a 1960s re-release of Arthur Lubin's musical military comedy starring the great comic duo of Abbott and Costello, Buck Privates. In their first starring roles, Bud and Lou play two sidewalk salesmen who enlist in the army in order to avoid jail only to find that their drill instructor is the police officer who tried having them imprisoned. This poster is from the film's re-release in Belgium in the early 1960's. The artwork is unique to this Belgian release poster and is vastly different that the artwork on the original 1940's release poster (which is also available - just ask). DESCRIPTION: Buck Privates (1941) - Universal Pictures, Directed by Arthur LubinCOUNTRY OF ORIGIN/SIZE: Belgium 14" x 21"CONDITION: Very Good Untrimmed Folded Condition. Untrimmed top white border has some very minor paper crinkling. A few nicks, small tears and one pinhole in surrounding white borders. A few pieces of paper tape at the bottom edge on reverse. Overall slight yellowing to the paper especially at border edges. Artwork is vivid and completely intact. Folded as originally issued, this poster has been stored flat for 25 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube or box.
