Description: British P1876 Martini-Henry socket bayonet with scabbard. British marked on bayonet and scabbard. Bayonet is 25" overall. June 1888 date coded on blade. Scabbard style with stiffening spring and two rivets. Bright blade has a salt-and-pepper patina. Socket has much original blue with spots of old rust. Buff leather scabbard has a separated seam on the back, dark patina on the brass mounts with dings from use and carry. Locking ring operable.
