Description: Up for your consideration is this SPECTACULAR antique Venetian glass beaded necklace! It is composed of 23 bright red based silver foil glass beads with green glass zigzag trailing! They are spaced among graduated opalescent wound glass moon beads! The combo is striking and beautiful! The opalescent beads are large for the type and are breathtaking. The opalescent beads graduate from approximately 6mm up to 11mm. The red and green foil glass beads average 12mm by 11mm, with variation from bead to bead due to the handmade nature of them. This necklace is approximately 28 1/2" long in total wearable length. There is some slack in the string from age, but the stringing is secure. This necklace is finished with a sterling silver filigree clasp. It is hallmarked sterling on the side of the clasp. This necklace is in overall EXCELLENT antique condition. There are some chips and missing trailing to some of the foil beads from age and use. The two such areas are highlighted in the 10th and 11th photos.
