By 1881 he was a freelance designer for many of the best known Parisian Jewelers. In 1905 Lalique opened a new shop in the Place Vendome. Which exhibited not only jewelry, but glass works as well. During the 1920's and 1930's Lalique was one of the most renowned glassmakers. His contributions to the aesthetic Art Deco cannot be overlooked.This Lalique vase is in the Malesherbes pattern. The design features a blown out pattern with impressed design and overlapping leaves extending vertically up the body of the vase. It is executed in a Brown Amber with Red undertones. It is signed and numbered, in script, on the bottom. Excellent ConditionThere is a small fleabite chip on the underside of the top rim. Please see the last (2) pictures.
