Description: Description This wonderful fireplace was salvaged from a Harlem NY brownstone.It is made of oak and is painted. The top has a beveled mirror flanked by pilasters having carved plinths at the top and bottom.The top has dentil molding and the sides have ornate brackets where it meets the shelf.Main shelf is supported by 4 brackets with fluted faces, between the pairs of brackets are small shelves.The shelves are supported by spoon carved brackets with rope turned columns below.There is a raised panel across the breast. Measurements are 68.5 inches wide, 49.5 tall to the shelf, 87.75 overall height and 16 deep. The firebox opening is 42 inches wide by 36 tall.Overall, it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. Please look at the pictures carefully. We generally make delivery trips along the I-85 and I-95 corridors to central Florida and the Florida panhandle in January. In spring and fall we go from Pennsylvania to Atlanta, over to Houston, up to Kansas City and St. Louis then up into Iowa, Chicago and home through Michigan and Ohio. Trips to NYC and New England are as needed. We can personally deliver if you are somewhat close to these routes much cheaper than freight or uship. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. I found and purchased all of the things that I needed for my project and lots of extra treasures which I eventually resold. 17 years later this is still my full time job!
