Opened in 1931, it was one of the first large stadiums built in the United States specifically to host both baseball and football games. With a massive seating capacity that could accommodate over 78,000 for football and approximately 74,000 for baseball, it was one of the largest stadiums of its kind during its time.Cleveland Municipal Stadium was home to several major sports teams over the years.
